I'd like to share my impressions after studying at GoIT. I participated in the IT Generation program and was lucky enough to get a state grant. I applied to all the schools in the Frontend program and was selected by several of them. I carefully studied these schools and chose the GoIT Bootcamp course. It was the right choice.
I will describe the advantages in the form of a list: 1. A well-thought-out training program. It provides structured knowledge in ascending order of complexity. Each subsequent topic is based on the previous ones, so the learning from the earlier issues is consolidated.
2. High-quality presentation of the material. Before a new topic in the LMS, you can read the summary on this topic and watch a video lecture by an experienced developer. He gave us a deep understanding of JS and explained why a particular feature should be done a specific way.
3. Simulation of work in actual conditions. During the training, we participated in three-team projects. We were divided into teams, each with its own Team Leader and Scrum Master. We had clear deadlines and had to present our projects. This teamwork experience was advantageous and similar to the real work of a Front-end developer.
4. High-quality organization of training. Theory in the morning, then practice. Slack for communication with mentors and other students. Recordings of lectures and practical classes. A summary that can be read offline (it was handy during blackouts). 5. Support in everything. Both moral and technical. Mentors are in touch and will help in difficult moments. The manager can help with any other issues. 6. Additional soft skills classes and English classes. The emphasis here is on the points that are necessary for passing interviews. As a result, I received very high-quality knowledge and am now on probation for a React Developer position. I have something to compare with and can confidently recommend this school.
Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you the story of my learning journey at GoIT and my employment as a Junior QA Engineer. My journey into the world of QA started with the advice of a friend who had already completed the Fullstack Bootcamp at GoIT and was working in this field. Although I was interested in software development, the process of coding itself didn't attract me.
So when my friend suggested that I try myself in the testing direction, I decided to listen to him. I participated in a free week-long marathon at GoIT, where I could try myself in different areas, including testing. During this marathon, I realized that testing was something I enjoyed, and I started actively gathering information. I read books, watched webinars and video tutorials to understand the fundamental concepts.
Later, I decided to deepen my knowledge and enrolled in the Manual QA Engineer course at GoIT. This course gave me the opportunity to gain practical skills in testing and learn to use various tools and platforms. Upon completion of the course, I started searching for a job. After sending almost a hundred resumes and completing numerous test assignments, my efforts finally paid off.
Now I am looking forward to new challenges and opportunities that open up before me thanks to the knowledge I gained at GoIT.
